Tarhan Telli was born in Istanbul. When he was a child he used to break his remote control cars and then combine their engines to create a four-wheel-drive remote car. This was a clue about his interests in upgrading and modifying things. He could not enjoy the toys if he has to play with it without modifying it. He was a very active and menace boy and he started Sisli Terakki high school and he continue his high school life at Bogazici College and finally he graduated from Gunaydin College. Briefly, he was not a brilliant student, he can not even sit on his chair during class hours. His success in sports was the only success story in his high school career.
After his family saw his interest in modifying and upgrading things, they decided to buy him a Willies CJ-5. The car was in a terrible condition however Tarhan Telli thought that it was a big opportunity to start his projects. In the beginning, his friends thought that he was in love with an engineer' s daughter however his passion was to have a machine which can reflect him as well as he is. He worked on his CJ-5 for 2 years including the Sundays too. After all the works he has done the CJ-5 was completely changed and Tarhan Telli' s friends called it a joke car. After these, Tarhan Telli' s passion for creating and upgrading things got bigger. He started the most important chapter of his life at Bahcesehir University Visual Arts and Design faculty. While his time in university he built some very aggressive and powerful motorcycles only for himself. Then he went to California, where he calls the Jerusalem of the motorcycle riders, to have his master degree in Art of Design. One day, while a squash game with his friend, his friend told him that if he beats Tarhan Telli, Tarhan Telli will build a bike for him. And he managed to beat Tarhan Telli.
Now, THE adventure has begun. He finds himself in Germany passing the T.Ü.V tests with his plans at hand. After long negotiations, he takes the Turkish distributorship of a globally known motorcycle company “Custom Chrome”. This marks the beginning of a difficult 2.5 year time frame. After running from one place to the other between Germany, Italy and Turkey accompanied with his lawyers and engineers, in 2005 he started what everyone deemed impossible; "Building Motorcycles in Turkey". He delivered his first order in January 2006. After that day, he continuously developed his company, attaining the distribution rights of globally known companies like Arlen Ness, Performance Machine, Thunderbike and American Suspension. He is proud to carry the nickname “Mad Turk” that he was given for doing what everyone said could not be done.
The motorcycles that he built gained international acknowledgement and prizes. Tarhan Telli always claims that the team spirit is behind every motorcycle he built. This team consists of a 42 member strong highly experienced crew. For him, success is not achievable unless every single member of his team feels this spirit. This is the reality that lies behind the success of TT Custom Choppers.
